About the event
A bar mitzvah service is when a Jewish child is called up in synagogue to read from the Torah and lead parts of the prayers, showing they are now responsible for their own religious duties. It’s similar to a Christian confirmation in that it marks a young person’s spiritual maturity and their commitment to their faith. This service lasts a bit over an hour and will be followed by a kiddush luncheon.
A kiddush luncheon is a celebratory meal after the bar mitzvah service where family and friends gather to bless wine and bread, share food, and continue the joyful gathering together.
While we would be honored to have you join us for Daniel’s bar mitzvah service on Saturday morning, we understand that not everyone will be able to attend. We would still be delighted to celebrate with you at the evening celebration.
